for fursuits, a reference like this is a lot better, as it has the proportions and details similar to how they'd be on a suit and everything is much more clear and visible, fursuit refs should be very simple and to the point to not confuse the maker.

This is backed up by Dry Bowser. Dry Bowser doesn't match Bowser's proportions either. Furthermore, in Mario Strikers, Bowser's Skeleton differs from Dry Bowser, and actually fits his proportions. (2/3)
