Thank you all for the support yesterday! I was able to make it to the Arcade event for a few hours with a small setup and being behind my table helped me calm down a bit with everything that's been happening. BF is filing a police report today about his phone, so fingers crossed.

By ’88 run & gun games were old hat, but this cracking conversion with its co-op gameplay & tank-based action breathed new life into the genre. Difficult but highly addictive & at its best played with a mate.
I already have an FNF design and sprite, but I decided to make a sketch that's more accurate to the style Phantom Arcade uses as well as my own style!

Imagine 1988
One of the C64’s best blasters, this is a fantastic conversion – especially the lava level which is stunningly recreated. It'd be top 3 if I’d had a disk drive, but the tape multi-load was an absolute killer.
137: Okay so I definitely cheated on painting the closeup of the pixels here. I'm not Roy Lichtenstein or whatever. I was working on a deadline! Still... taking Question Duck to the arcade was an opportunity to bring back some much needed VIBRANT colors into the comic.

Go! 1988
Another game with ace music (6 superb SIDs in all), Bionic Commando is a cracking conversion from Software Creations. It's instantly playable, hugely addictive & captures the spirit of the coin-op perfectly.
Yeah alright maybe he’s a little fun to color. Awful arcade man. Horrible roller rink.
