Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I've always felt that Wonder Woman rocked the silver better than the gold in her costumes. It just accents the blue and red so cleanly.

I've seen George Pérez get a lot of flak for the costumes he drew, but his ones were as larger than life as superheroes can be. The original Nightwing costume screams 80s, but it's damn awesome. No other version afterwards could be as memorable.

Although you say “super hero costumes,” I have to say that John Buscema’s younger brother Sal designed a lot of fantastic villains. Sal Buscema has Ruby Thursday, the Zodiac, U-Foes, and Squadron Sinister on his list. Some are pretty wild but they are memorable and long lasting!
