Although Salvo is indeed a name (actually a surname), its use in this character's name is a pun on "saliva," referencing his slimy texture. It may also refer to how he discharges multiple Slime Drops (i.e., a "salvo") when hit by an egg.

For this one, I looked at 's style. I commissioned a portrait from Sixfoot before and used it as a guide, but found it it challenging to capture it's intensity. Sixfoot used a mixture solid shapes and fine textures that's hard to imitate.

These rolling spike creatures insist that they're not Thwomps, but… just look at them. You can't fool us with that stone texture, sharp spikes, silly face, and onomatopoeic name. You even live in fortresses just like they do! Emerging from walls won't cut it.
