Next: abstract color studies in watercolor, before printing out my lines and testing w/the actual composition. It was a tough choice but once I saw some of the other Wands cards, I couldn't wait to use my Perylene Maroon in combo with a mixed turquoise-y green.👀

VisLitI Project 2 is done!!! We had to do 3 color compositions, I chose (from left to right) Monochrome, Split Complimentary, and Analogous (w/ a complimentary accent)! :) I wanted to share cause I found a way to shoehorn Caliban in my hw! I'm so proud of it honestly aaa <3
PROCESS:
1-The first step was creating vector lineart and composition
2- After that i sketched the scene and general feeling
3- I create the rest of the scene, add the details and the animations
I hope you like seeing this, i find showing this way more personal than the NFT 💜

not sure why it took me this long to add a "halfbody full background" option to my sheet because I really think the strongest scene compositions are ones where I can crop in on the figure in interesting ways. it's more cinematic !

.@rossgrams on Shadowrift 2nd Ed, T2029, Alien Frontiers Definitive Edition. Ross' art crackles with light and shadow, and he's able to bring to life incredibly ambitious compositions with clarity. Not sure if he's still at it, but been one of my go to artist's over the years.
