Elden Ring has this cozy vibe sometimes that’s hard to put into words, and other Souls games too. I think it’s the ambient sound like the bonfires and the slow music compositions etc.

A really fun character and I loved the way his design ties in with Frosslass, his relationship with the lake trio really fascinated me! Had a blast doing the composition!!!

Another trick for strong panel composition is to think in terms of foreground, middle ground, and background, instead of *just* foreground and background.

Look at how Milt Caniff creates depth in his panels with this technique.

Howe's compositions are so good. One of my all time favorite scenes from the Silmarillion, rarely has good art (imo) because they always take 1 metaphor and blow it out of proportion (Morgoth looming like a mountain or something) but Howe's "fingolfin's challenge" is amazing
