Arago 44 is almost certainly not H. erectus. It may be an early Neandertal or another (H. heidelbergensis?) species. OH 28 could possibly be H. erectus, but if so may be a most recent occurrence of the species in Africa. I suspect it's something else.

⚠️ Historic moment ⚠️

South Africa 🇿🇦 just set a new record for the highest minimum temperature (31.7°C) in Vioolsdrif in April for the ENTIRE Southern Hemisphere.

The same location also smashed the April national record by a full +1.1°C. The record is now +44.8 °C (112.6°F).
