First and foremost - I wanted to base alot of my color choice after Queen Lumera, Alear's mother. Lumera's design - despite possessing every color in the rainbow, it's not eyestraining/distracting. Whereas Alear's design is overly saturated, and the areas of oversaturation (1/7)

Alear (Fire Emblem: Engage) Redesign.
The gameplay offers so much flexibility in playstyles, the music is fantastic, and I'm having fun with the story (albeit its not the best). But I just cannot get over the character designs - I'll explain my design process in the replies.

I don’t know what the canon reason for Alear’s dual-tone hair and eyes (Switch is still broken), but I had a dream that it was due to them being drugged but only the human half received the effects. My dream probably has better logic than the game, but that remains to be seen.
