In both American canons (Archie and likely SatAm) and original Japanese sources (e.g., the Sonic 3 video casette tape pre-order bonus), Sonic is established to be 15~16 but never roughly 18 despite what that singular file said. Classic Sonic was later confirmed to be just 15 too.
