For me it's the amount of detail or rendering that takes the most time. I keep track of how long I spent doing each piece, so here's some examples-
1. Splatoon = 3 hours
2. Pokemon starters = 16 hours
3. Metroid = 25 hours
4. Indivisible group = 40 hours
