Colors for yesterday's Spider-Man piece. I am very much torn between two styles of coloring: All flats (think Mignola / Stewart) or soft gradients (think Kelley Jones).

Well, I color the subject normally, & then decide what color the lights and shadows will be.

Then, I make a 'Hard Light' layer & just make simple gradients with the brush I'm using and then tone it down to make my likings.

Damn, it's amazing how fast simple things can go, hah

Took a minute to figure out what I wanted for background. Ended up going with like 4 different color gradients at 50% opacity.

All left is shade, text and mess. But might be next week, we'll see!

I keep changing up my art style and I can never decide what I want it to be. Gonna try for more "shapes" and less shading just flats, colored lines, gradients, and white highlights. We'll see how long before I change it again

I got last minute invited to an art stream and was requested to draw with my left hand, and this was the result.
