Le canal Jollet permet le transport des marchandises depuis et vers les usines situées sur la Prairie-au-Duc. Dans les années 1920, suite au développement des chantiers navals, le canal est comblé. Il est remplacé par le boulevard Léon-Bureau.

Fantasy artist Chris Achilléos passed away

He might not have been as famous as Vallejo or Frazetta but he did some great stuff in that vein. His art was the backbone of many a Fighting Fantasy book.

Sad to hear that Chris Achilléos has died. As well as the Target Doctor Who books I’d borrow from the school library, his ‘Lord of Chaos’ was a poster on my bedroom wall as a goth-leaning pre-teen. RIP

Around the time I started drawing I was also heavily into roleplaying and my mate who was always the DM had all these books with great fantasy and sci-fi art that I'd thumb through. Amongst all the treasures that shaped and inspired me was the art of Chris Achilléos. RIP

Just learned that artist Chris Achilléos has passed away. I first found his work as a young boy starting to delve into the world of fantasy thru books & RPGs. His work has always been an inspiration, & many of his pieces are forever burned into my brain. 😢
