I guess this is a Useful FFXIV Art Tip, but palette swatches from CC are not actually a good point of reference for flat colors or neutral lighting.

On the left, I used the direct swatch colors. On the right is what they look like in the actual game engine.

Here's a sneak peak of what I settled on! There are 2 versions for fun, though it's very subtle. :> The second is the default and the first is more like they are in a different lighting.

Commission I finished for

A Hell Creek scene of an Acheroraptor and a Pachycephalosaurus building a nest together. He asked for monochrome, which made a good exercise for shadows and lighting.
