Looking through my digital paintings. Here I am sharing with you my works with and without additional texture. Which do you prefer?

(3/3) Here are the families of Inuyasha! The fairy tale couple of Inuyasha and Kagome. The badass crew of Sesshomaru. The lovely family of Miroku and Sango. Each one is partially bare to show the metallic acrylic material to provide additional texture.

This one has barely any BG, but I drew those eyes there to make it feel less empty and it isn't completely back to help it achieve some texture. It helps it with the creepy feel imo

There are lots of things you can do, maybe you can show me a wip & I can suggest something?

Xiaoyu from Tekken - Feels like I prefer pencil more now than my usual Pen Tool cuz of the texture. Anyway, my controller broke so i cant play the game...

Designed Noranre's scales, as some were requested by a friend!
She's a green dragon, but has abnormal coloration; only her innermost scales show green, with a seaglass sheen, while her outer scales are tan/gold and can take on a sandy texture. Her wings are also pearlescent ✨

Then it's done after some final acrylic details and spray varnish. Mmm, texture.

I finally figured out the solution to keeping 's cherry shaped head with her natural hair texture. The key was to add 1 strand of hair that looks like a stem. It was that simple. I hate that I didn't think of this earlier.

I found out you can ink in Affinity Designer! The stroke can even use a bitmap for a natural edge/texture. I like being able to edit, so this is perfect for me.

Headshots galore! Here's the next batch. All of these characters were wicked fun to work on and I learned a lot about layer clipping to speed up how I do these without sacrificing that sketchy texture. ✨

Always astounded at the variety in OCs that are given to me!

I may have done a retexture. But here's a little peek.

just noticed a problem in the texture. fixed it, as well as removing a detail that made it look messy

Concept art stream in 30 min right here! 🎨 Today Bernie continues rendering a concept for a simple non-human character concept that would be perfect for a beginner 3D artist to model and texture.

Really its not that hard I just feel people are afraid to use it in character design and I don't know why?
Just focus on a interesting shape for movement and flow (4c hair moves people) and add dips and curves to represent texture.

quick sketch I did of my OC, Angel. I haven’t drawn her before and she’s so fun to draw. i was missing out.

i wanted to have higher contrast and i added a little paper texture. I love it so much
