Something important to note is that when I choose the color of the light source, I also employ a slightly desaturated/lightened version of that color and use it to fill in anything that's meant to be pure white, such as this guy's tunic. Here's other more "bright white" tunics:

I saw the video on how Zardy's Maze came to be, and noticed in some concepts and even the plushie has Zardy's shirt lighter than the rest of his outfit. It's very slight, but I tried it out myself to test how it looks. I like how kinda breaks the one solid color up tbh
