This piece was inspired by the numbness of overwhelming emotions. Exhausting all sensation to the point of no expression. I used influences from rococo and baroque artworks to portray excess and abundance viscerally.

It's these pieces for me! I made the last one back in August based on Carracci's Pieta, and I think I learnt a lot from it! I love how baroque painters use dramatic light, deep shadows and the drama it gives, something I'd love to see in my own pieces.
