In this you play occupier military in Roman Britain. It focuses on playing out day-to-day military life and missions. It’s not a particularly crunchy system, though it does have a big skill list. There’s a good deal of historical detail to it.

For #FindsFriday - in 2014 we uncovered the post-hole remains of an aisled building, but what was more exciting is that one post had been padded with (what turned out to be) some of the only examples of moulded architectural timber known from #RomanBritain. 1/2

In 1908, Festus Kelly travelled to Mandalay in Burma, and spent a year being thrilled by its colour and lifestyle. Reproductions of Kelly's paintings made in the country became at one time amongst the most popular prints in Britain.
