@IkariLoona @future_fabulous The being mentioned is Falak, a giant serpent from Arabian Mythology (fitting since Aht Urghan). I think that SE accidentally wrote themselves into a corner by using Jörmungandr as a HNM all those years ago so Falak is going to be the stand-in.
I have finished the portrait for Genbu Gladia, the Primordial vixen, alongside Jörmungandr.
Gladia is a Primordial who was trapped within the Yggdrasil Tree for over 600 years. She is manic and would do anything for her Lord Genorkai.
Jörmungandr's exact origin is unknown.
A very silly take on Jörmungandr, based on a friends suggestion to draw a snake, followed by an unending string of telling me to make it bigger.

The thunder god Thor and the sea monster Jörmungandr have a very long and very contentious history involving many, many, many differences of opinion. #MythologyMonday 🖼️An 18th century Icelandic scribe / Henry Fuseli

The World Serpent, Jörmungandr
Norse mythology has always interested me, and God of War 4 may have helped put this cool guy in this list cause of it.
@radsechrist "Real" Mythology creatures or modern fantastic ones?
For "real" I propose:
Quetzacoatl the Aztec feathered snake, god of winds and rain and creator of the world and mankind.
And Jörmungandr, the norse Midgard World Serpent, middle child of the gianttess Angrboða and Loki

I assume you win Slither io by becoming Jörmungandr, famed World Serpent of, err, Australian mythology. (But, really, you win by watching the stream.)

Jörmungandr
Finally got to introduce a big bad in my D&D campaign in a pretty tense scene between him and the party’s cleric!
