Noooooo… negative space is super important for artwork & can make the work strong. As (mostly) a Maximalist, I cover pretty much every surface of the pieces I make (even if it’s just a much darker color) but I still use plenty of negative space sometimes.

I spent some time on FXhash today and was able to pick up 2 excellent pieces. 's Bamboozled and 's Multidimensional Maximalism. Both are quite different, you can observe the fine balance of controlled chaos and a structured art.
