This palette was approved by Araki, though, because the colors for Di Molto Bene's Statue Legend series credit Araki as the color supervisor just like the Super Action Statues. It's why several of the palettes for these figurines reappear in the anime.

This is what I mean by creating more load for the animation supervisors. Left is Layouts by Vann Oba while the right ones are the supervision by Tetsuya Nishio. The LOs were so terrible Nishio had to completely redraw them to the point you can't even tell it was Vann Oba's work.
