90% of the stuff that I post is drawn for fun and usually very loose, I do nearly everything in @Procreate with either the standard 6b pencil or this brush that’s just a square pixel without antialiasing (but I still almost never use the fill tool and just sketch in the color)
turned off AntiAliasing in medibang just to test doodle a bit n the brush looks like im drawing in a more detailed homestuck style now
rather than gray trolls, i doodled sum cute blue elves cos wynaut :3
@tabledkat Because no antialiasing means every line is equally crisp and bold, and it's way more forgiving.
the trick for really selling this as kinda transparent without actually using transparency is that there's an outline mesh set to a desaturated color that kinda matches the background and setting its dissolve at a slight offset, like some very unusual form of antialiasing
On today's stream, worked on some graphical refinements for Chesskoban, including fixing an antialiasing bug, refining the noise texture used for the "paint edge" effect, and making selection glows fancier (still needs some color tweaks).

Been I while since I did art without antialiasing

Mitzy for @ESArt14
Also I finally figured out how to make mouse drawing less of a pain, make the image smaller and let antialiasing do its magic 😔

@FuzzForce Thank you! If it's any good, it's because I used Indivisible's run cycle animations as reference. Those are fantastic!
Yes, exactly. It's a 3D model with a simple shader to ramp the colors, and then rendered at a really low res. without antialiasing.
Commission for @PeepCubed! Tried turning off antialiasing for this one, and I'm happy with the results!
Felt like doing another one of these studies before hopping back into Unity to finish up the VR world project. Every brushstroke I add tends to generate visual noise so I used tons of filters to remove it. Magic wand selections are kind of amazing when you don't use antialiasing.
Happy Mar10 Day, everyone!

Updated my Binding of Isaac Rebirth style goomba sprite with shading, antialiasing, and a thiccer line, I have!
Huh, I found the Lion King wallpaper I created from said clipart back in July 1995.
Original file is a 16-color (COLOR!! not bit. 4-bit color!) GIF file. Ahh those dark days of low resolution before antialiasing. JAGGGGGIES!!
hey peeps who use CSP, how do i stop close and fill from doin this antialiasing stuff to mylineart
@Oni_Underscore thank you very much ! i dont have any special settings for the lines i use. honest. in fact i even disabled pen pressure for the last two things i posted. if you didnt know, the type of 'pixel' brush that has no antialiasing (soft edges) is called Binary.
Worked a bit on myself yesterday. Fixed the lineart (it was antialiasing and opacity gore EVERYWHERE), got a little haircut, and simplified things down a bit. Nearly ready to put myself back together again but first gotta fix those hands..... ugh
