Avatar The Way of Water was so incredibly good. It was worldbuilding at it’s finest. There was commentary the whole movie on the impact of colonialism, parental/child relationships, the psychology of being a mixed race couple/child, & importance of living with nature 1/2

I recently acquired these excavated pennanular (literally “almost ring-shaped”) earrings from an old collection. They were once worn by our precolonial ancestors, both males and females. The use of these types are confirmed in Boxer Codex drawings from the late 16th century.
