Here’s THE A TO Zs OF MY HOME CAMPAIGN - V is for Vargouille! I don’t know... they just look cool... and there’s just something rad about swatting flying demon heads outta the sky. Art by Tony DiTerlizzi for Planescape.

Tony DiTerlizzi's art for the Planescape setting is superb. That guy can do things with a pencil that would turn your hair, well, pencil-colored.

it’s hard to pick one design from spiderwick chronicles to feature. that’s tony diterlizzi for you! but I find myself especially attached to the goblins. bats and frogs are odd animal choices that still feel distinctly “gobliny” and they’re just so raggedy and charming.

Image of the Day:

Care to roll the dice, cutter? Not today? You know they open a portal to one of the Outer Planes? Why of course I'll tell you which one...after you hand over the jink, that is.

Likewise. Between that one and the image that appeared in Planes of Conflict, DiTerlizzi made the baernaloths genuinely horrific. Favorite fiends in D&D. It's a shame that basically nothing has been done with them since 3.x (part of which was mine).

Tony Diterlizzi, taught me to put my tongue in cheek at an age when most of my fellow kids were putting on black trenchcoats.
(2nd Runner-up, the entire Mordheim manual, it really leans into its world.)

Lastly, Interior art—including some of the two-color art, which remained tricky to print throughout production. ⚔️ I’ve tried to find pieces that were not printed in “Realms: The RPG Art of Tony DiTerlizzi”, which collects many of my finished Planescape pieces.

Tony Diterlizzi. I ADORED his art growing up. I used to mimic his illistrations in middle school before anime took over my life. As I get older I find myself going back to his art. My traditional sketches still look a lot like his.
