While I do think this is technically alright, I actually like the 20 minute poses more since they encourage me to be looser and more gestural, which leads to a better likeness I think! I get too focused on small details / get a little muddy with too much time.

my new favourite way to make art is to find a reference photo and just barely use the anatomy of the person i'm referencing. sure it's a bit scuffed but i'm able to be a lot looser and enjoy the process a lot more

An experiment to try painting again.

I could have rendered it more, but I was ready to move on. I tried a looser process which helped, though the messy mid stage was hard to push through.

Looking forward to painting again, It's quite challenging for me but I do enjoy it :)
