There are obviously other complications with being kicked in the head requiring follow-up like all my bottom teeth shifted and Im missing pieces of some molars but I am in a normal amount of “health”

Arguably the most horrifying thing about merkava is that despite being a carnivore, all of his teeth are molars

like what the FUCK man

Interesting looking creature, maybe a herbivore with those molars? The front teeth and long tongue could be some sort of specialised way to strip bark or leaves

Metridiochoerus

A 1.5 meters long relative of the pig, known by some as a giant warthog, it had large upward pointing tusks in both jaws making them form a sort of cross

ALT: its molars indicate it was likely an omnivore, like most of its relatives, filling a similar niche

Skull 3 from Dmanisi is one of the most complete cranial remains attributed to Homo erectus. This individual represents a stage of development just before adulthood, with third molars just beginning to erupt.

The jaw had agenesis of the third molars. Another jaw with this condition from Xiahe, China, appears to represent the Denisovan population. Whether we can identify mandibular traits that denote this population is not yet clear.

Raven and skull now up on Patreon for my Glorious patrons! I made a few changes today - I improved his legs and tail and also added the correct number of molars (although he still have his fangs)!

The occlusal surface of the molars of Paranthropus boisei is three to four times larger than that found in today's humans. The premolars of this are enormously expanded. But the canine and incisor teeth are human-sized or smaller.

rat toofs

top incisors are typically orange, bottom incisors are yellow and can separate when relaxed

The Krapina Neandertal sample provides one of the most extensive dental records of any fossil population. Third molars may have erupted a bit earlier in this ancient group than in most people today, although within our extensive range of variability. gy

reposting these because I don't want them to get lost, but here's the full renders a friend did of my Grinder enemy for Subterene.

I still really adore their design. Just a grinding wheel made of human molars for a face.

Dunno if it’s weird or not but a random fact about me is I technically have 4 lower canines? 2 of my bottom premolars sharpened in a way that make them look way more like canines. I dunno if it’s cuz I used to snap bones with my teeth 🤷🏾‍♀️

Coryphodon

A mid sized browsing mammal named after its pointed tusks, it was slow and heavy, but large for the time period so it likely didn't have many predators

ALT: Based on modern animals, its possible that some of the specimens that have smaller molars are actually female
