Palaeontology documentaries generally feel like they've become afraid to leave that comfort zone. The history of life is SO beautiful and diverse! And there's so many ways to tell those stories, why stick to what's been done?

Stuff like this just starts to meld into each other.

I used to think to be successful palaeoartist, I need to rigorously stick to skeletal reconstructions. But after becoming an actual palaeontologist, realised they're a huge niche for experimenting with styles & by extension audiences.
