Having some trouble drawing right now. But managed to make a little psittacosaurus sketch.
Morning reconstruction is done.
Based around Bob the triceratops specimen and added some of the damage that is seen on other triceratops.
Based the coloring around Psittacosaurus’s coloration.

Here's the first art for my own dinochallenge or #dinocember or dinosomething xD
Day1: Psittacosaurus!
Did you guess the dinosaurs from my video posted earlier today? Here's the reveal!
Clockwise from top right:
Argentinosaurus
Torosaurus
Spinosaurus
Psittacosaurus
Zuul
Did you guess any of them? Let me know! 🦖🦕⠀
#Dinovember adopt #2! A lesser-known dino, Psittacosaurus!
These lads were early ceratopsians, how wild is that??
OTA - minimum $20, $60+ gets you a bonus chibi!

For this #FossilFriday I've been meaning to read that Psittacosaurus cloaca paper that came out recently. While I do, here's another #paleoart design I made for my #redbubbleshop. Yes, I do like bad puns. https://t.co/6UhBP78js9
her tail is based off of a psittacosaurus lol. i almost made her a pigeon / psittaco gryphon but i couldnt commit. maybe she'll have another form later. her head curl comes from the original version of sable, who was.... a brown cat with a curl.
@realkmdark1 Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we had the tech years ago, and some hush-hush, uber-wealthy private company had already created them. Who knows? Maybe the 1% all have their own archaeopteryx, microraptors, iguanodons, or psittacosauruses. 🤔 🦖
For this #xatw the Psittacosaurus is a member of the cerotopsians, the same group that the Triceratops is in. They lived during the early to mid Cretaceous, right before the Triceratops came about in the late Cretaceous. It’s hard to believe this little guy was an ancestor of the
Okay I have to vent this out:
I HATE the fact that Psittacosaurus only has a tuft of quills on the middle of its tail and that's it. It just has a random patch of unmoved grass. Why is this a thing.
Few years back, attempted a redo of it. It's definitely an improvement in skill but anatomically sucks as well, albeit to a lesser extent.
This time, the "wings" are two rows of bristles. Bristles which are found in its only closest relative to preserve filaments: Psittacosaurus
#Paleoart of Plateosaurus for #FossilFriday. The hindlimb looks odd because it has a large Psittacosaurus-style membrane between the lower leg and body. This is speculative, but there's no reason to think Psittacosaurus had a monopoly on limb patagia among non-volant dinosaurs.
A little psittacosaurus variant.
