Putting this out there as a project About Comics is too small to do: Sheldon Mayer did several of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer specials in the 1970s. The rights appear to not be owned by DC, but by the Rudolph rightsholders. Seems like low-hanging fruit.
