she's a star guardian. I drew once before but haven't since so uhhh yeah. Also trying semi realism again with this one-

In Japan, Seiryu takes on a different meaning of being one of a guardian. Specifically of Kyoto, being one of four.

The others being

Genbu,
Suzaku,
and Byakko.

All 4 of which are actually represented in SMT as demons, fancy that.

Onto the next character concept art, the serious guardian. Thought I'd have it as a scouting type but the overall designs will most likely go through another change the ideas are all laid out.

Another rough sketch, this time our resident Water Guardian. I’ve always pictured myself to be as funny as she was gwoing up 😂

✨ Commissioned Work ✨

Character design gig. A pre-colonial Visayan warrior-shaman and his spirit guardian. This is one of the versions I did for a character in a story she's writing. I resonated a lot with this version 😊

This is Lirrin, the Ocean Guardian. Technically she's a giant sea serpent, but she takes a more approachable form to interact with mortals. Unless she's planning to eat your ship. The selkies (and most seafarers) worship her as the goddess of the ocean, luck, and chance.
