First how I split up my mouth layers.
The Tongue, Tongue Ring and Bottom lip's shines are separated, but I don't think that will be necessary, it's mainly for physics.

As for the teeth I did it this way for better X and Y angles, it also helps with mouth open.

I drew a friend's character (Sadie "The Goat" Segara). I took this opportunity to attempt to draw new things for me such as wet hair, wet clothes, wet fur, ice, the moon, and vast water.
I ended with 70+ layers. New record for me.

Materials: I do most of my painting in acrylics on fine linen canvas. I love the smooth linen surface and like the robustness of acrylics for building up layers. I also like that it dries super quick so when I have an idea I can get on with it quickly. I’m not a good waiter �
