I created this tree to explain the different hypotheses of the phylogenetic relationships among avemetatarsalian archosaurs, in particular dinosaurs. I explain which ones I follow in my book and point out alternative hypotheses.

Day3: 🌿🌻😊
Who would have thought that one day a curious village girl would be a palaeobotanist?
Don't let anyone dim your light. Be bright in the corner where you are.

Okay here is the pre-made characters for the Paleo Party Quickstart the will be releasing on free RPG Day. Though on the playbooks, the art will be lineart only so you can choose to color them however you want! :)

Quick sketches that I can work on later and I like this kind of sketching, it makes it easier to see the full drawing before it's finished.

Lagerpetids are on the news. Yesterday with the description of Kongonaphon and today with the description of remains of what would be very large Dromomeron specimens from New Mexico. Here are Lagerpeton chanarensis, Dromomeron gigas and Kongonaphon kely

It’s speculated that the vessels provide oxygenated blood to special facial display features allowing Rugops to flush blood for the purpose of a vivid color display. Alternatively Rugops’ face may have had armored covering. Art by PaleoPastori

Unbelievable!
I actually painted something! I did a big test of the upcoming Colors Live app and I rendered an imaginary dromaeosaurid (which supposed to be a fun sketch, but ended up fully painted). It's fun to do personal art!

I'm [REDACTED], an agender (they/them) writer/artist with schizophrenia and BPD who really likes Monster Prom, biology, paleontology, and horror/gore. Most of the stuff I draw is either fanart or monster designs.

Here are some stages of making this artwork. I started off by making some sketches on paper and when I came up with a nice composition I started drawing digitally. From there it was a matter of coloring and detailing.

The Kem Kem was also home to many crocodilians like the here depicted Laganosuchus. Although arthropods aren't often preserved, a fossil larva of an indeterminate Odonata dragonfly has been described, which I chose to depict on a stem.

According to the fossil record the Kem Kem flora included a wide variety of angiosperms. Although tree ferns and smaller ferns were also present. At the water's surface there were Marsilea and an unnamed member of the Nelumbonaceae.

I decided to depict Spinosaurus with a round sail because the often depicted M shaped sail is not as well supported as it might seem. See my Spinosaurus sail shape thread for further explanation: https://t.co/8snEplE3rp
