Emerald Fennell, the Oscar-nominated director of “Promising Young Woman,” has been tapped to write “Zatanna,” a big-screen adaptation of the DC Comics heroine.
The movie, from Warner Bros.’ DC Films and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions, is set to be released theatrically.
If there's one thing I will give streaming services credit for, it's that there taking a chance on releasing traditional animated films when other distribution companies won't touch them. I hope it means that studios in Hollywood will take notice that people still want them.
