To be fair, Sonic's artworks have always remained mostly consistent, which is what I was purposely trying to replicate. This feels pretty "official" to me, despite not really being my favorite art style, so it hardly boils down to personal preference.

If your art needs a boost, duplicate the layer, field blur, set the top one to screen then reduce opacity to preference. it'll soften and brighten the whole thing.
