The final mesh did line up rather well with the drawing, with extra details such as a bow on the back, and ribbons around the ankles. Her hair was also slightly modified, but the general look was grasped early on!

Retopology (mostly) done! All that's left is connecting the body to the head, hands, and feet. I'll be giving it another pass over to optimize it, but for now, I'm proud! I believe this mesh is a vast improvement over everything else I've done before! 🎉

with ornatrix you can set each strand group to have its own UV island when it's converted to a mesh. so now on the groom I need to go in and create more strand groups so I can have more sections and have more variety in which hair clump is applied on the mesh
