I think they meant it in the obviously fake “haha look at the strong empowered girl character please consume the merchandise™” way where no thought is put into the writing or personality of the actual character. THAT SAID, if they do it right, it’s fine. Comic Peach was peak.

Barris - while not literally Muslim, the visual references, intentional or not, were obvious. Putting that aside, turning a good character into a bombing for peace terrorist fallen Jedi offscreen was just lazy, nonsensical writing for an otherwise great series like TCW
