Director Tony Scott was born OTD in 1944, and from his 1983 debut with THE HUNGER he would go on to helm some of Hollywood's biggest blockbusters. He died in 2012.

Nice throwback cover from Mike Kaluta for HOUSE OF MYSTERY (1983). It has a vaguely 20s/30s commercial illustration feel to me, but I can't quite pinpoint it. Also reminds me of Dave Stevens' work.
