11: Love the tug of war Usagi and Rei have over a poor and confused kid. The Doll Monster had a creepy-cool design and them falling so easily for her illusion was very funny. Also ike that Rei recognized Mamoru is Tuxedo Mask in just 1 ep when Usagi hadn't suspected him in 10 😂

Innocent Aces is a direct tie in to Mamoru Oshii's The Sky Crawlers (2008). I was blown away by how well the game recontextualizes the film's entire story. Both feel like perfect extensions of the other to the point that the experience is incomplete without both. Top tier stuff.

I saw people compare to Mamoru Hosoda's films like Wolf Children, and the story certainly did remind me of those. Then, Mei's pose in this particular frame caught my attention.

Thinking about sun and moon albedo and mona and my shoujo craving brain can’t help but think of them as Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask. Even the lore fits!! Mona as Serenity/Usagi bc of her celestial motifs and moon-themes. Albedo as Endymion/Mamoru.(1/2)
