I actually discovered this unfortunate fact days ago for Lucario Dash Attack

I was not happy lemme tell you.. You can't use the Early Sweet hitbox to cross up either. You HAVE to use Frame 7 with the Early lower sour foot in their face to dash through shield no matter who it is

Sure it'd be way easier to land it on a nonshielding opponent, but the hitbox is literally built to shield poke people. I'd rather just have it work properly.

problem with Cloud is his sword straight up lies to you about where it’s hitbox is. The tip of his sword doesn’t even have a hitbox on a lot of his moves. Most sword characters can have tippers or spacing that they can visually see. Cloud vs Ike and Lucina nair are all accurate
