This was an exercise in speed. Did the sketch of this in 30 minutes and the final product took just under three hours. I was pretty proud of this since I normally spend about 10-20 hours on my portraits.

What I've learned from this exercise is that my fashionably challenged ass cannot grasp the true form of Ivalician clothes. And also that trying to reconcile how colorful a lot of it is with the all-black YoRHa aesthetic is hard.

I also do Non-Narrative stuff! For these, I set a 1 hour time limit and use the lasso, and gradient tool to make these birds. I find that it's a great exercise for learning to think in shapes. Big to Small, General to Specific, and then design.
