Someone in stream asked how to do that Sweater in CSP, so:
1- At a high zoom, sprite with a 1px ForEffectPen, no post correction.
2- Scale up to your sketch, correct to Hard Outline.
3- Select, Edit > Transform > Mesh Transformation.
4- Drag the dongles to match your curvature.

Depends on what we're talking about.
If we're talking about an individual character piece, then at most the most layers I need is about 4. 1 being the outline where I transparency lock a line drawing I did, one for Flat colors, one for shading and one for highlights!
