An important lesson in plein air painting is learning to reduce details.

There's simply no way to paint every detail in a reasonable amount of time. You have to reduce and simplify the scene into something you can convey. Which is part of why plein air is such a great exercise.

Did some photo-referenced inking exercise. Normally i know how to track a picture's credits, but this one sends to pages and pages of a sort of Chinese pinterest so I have no clue. Please let me know if you recognize it and know where it's from. I loved the ring detail.

working on OCs is actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be. keeping things in my style but keeping it recognizable as the OC is a good exercise.
