Cerberus is not just the three headed hellhound of Hades, it's rather an obsolete constellation. The stars are now part of Hercules, one of the fourty constellations of the astronomer Ptolemy. Cerberus was depicted as a three headed snake on old star maps.

So Toonboom can be used to generate normal maps of your 2d characters (this one's a bit basic, but it can get much more detailed) and create pretty nice looking light sources.
