They may have been gracious in their portrayal of Jeanne D'arc herself, but my favorite character in the game, the whip-weilding babe Rose, was borderline lewd for the games time period...there needs to be more art done of her 😭

I did some research and apparently crossbows are a lot more ancient than I thought, existing in China from the 9th-5th centuries BC and even used by the Romans! I'm surprised that media like games and movies portray crossbows mostly of the medieval type

As someone who is also obsessed with plants, Poison Ivy is portrayed as much too clean-looking for a bisexual eco-terrorist. Make her a dirty gardener, you cowards.

So here's a bit of (German) childhood memory, Tabaluga the dragon :)
He's way younger in the franchise, but I wanted to portray him a little more mature :3

Let's talk about tracing photos! It's often portrayed very negatively, but if you have to work fast I think it's a valuable skill. It's all about blending things in cohesively with the rest of your illustration.. Not copying exactly, but interpreting.

This is Yumi!
She used to be how I portrayed myself in my early creative life and yes, she was my self-insert character haha! I know we all hate them now, but I think we should embrace these characters from our pasts as they let us experience things we liked in a deeper way.💖

These are from like a week ago but i think I forgot to post them here so... Boom. I love him. Also has such a great portrayal to bring a very minor character to life so vividly. I love this bot and I love Matt's amazing acting.

There's so much pulp and camp in The Rocketeer that it was just the right amount for me. Dieselpunk much like steampunk hasn't had much of a fair portrayal but this film definitely is it's pure trademark.

But when he portrays other forms, like spiders and frogs, he often enhances them, making them more fanciful. This tendency feeds into the issue some have with his work - crossing the fine line betw illustration and art. Is this what he sees or what he wants to see?

I don't usually draw wacky expressions but I had fun with this one! (made for a friend who was trying to stay awake late last night, she failed but her attempt shall be remembered with this accurate portrayal)
