Since ANIMATION IS FOR EVERYONE is/was trending, I'd like to give some limelight to a criminally underrated anime director; Jōji Shimura. He directed a film based on Animal Crossing as well as two films and an anime quadrilogy based on Tamagotchi.

I went through that middle-school phase where I thought I had to "grow out" of animation.

I was happily wrong.

Now I enjoy everything from children's cartoons to gory anime to art films. Because no matter who it's for, beauty is universal.
