The Donkey Kong series is pretty well repped now tbh, but if we got a new char, I think Dixie makes the most sense. She's neat, a classic Kong, and her hair would definitely provide areas to differentiate her from Diddy.

Poor Diddy Kong a long time ago couldn't seem to decide the color of his eyes.
DKC 1-3 (Black), DK64-DKR (Blue), Donkey Konga-Present (Black again), but the you every Smash game since Brawl where his eyes are brown.
Not to mention some other random minor changes made to him...
