I’m an architecture student who loves to draw.

Hugh Ferris (1889-1962) never designed a single noteworthy building, but after his death a colleague said he ‘influenced my generation of architects’ more than any other man. See his wonderful book, "The Metropolis of Tomorrow".

Anyway, this painting was a (failed) exercise in painting something architectural, since I usually paint more organic forms. The perspective is mostly correct, but the image as a whole is just not successful.

Monuments of ancient architecture of a developed civilization are found everywhere. This image was obtained on another container, which is located much north. It is surprising!

Who knows where else these magnificent architectural monuments are hiding?

Archaeologists are essential to an excavation site for sure. Anthropologists, zoologists, botanists, and architects are needed too.

But it is the many local workmen doing the actual digging, who keep the whole thing running.
