they don't stick out in my head as much as the X Mavericks but MMZ's mutos reploids are real cool. i love their obvious animal appearances but compared to the X bosses they're colder, more mechanical. it's only appropriate, as they were built explicitly to fight and protect

but the other ness design is based off this image i found on google thats pretty cool.
Dromaeosauridae, the dinosaurs that generally are informally called raptors even though Velociraptor is just one of many types of Domaesauridae, with feathers are just so cool.
And these are ones we actually know for sure were feathered too.
There was a weird rumour floating around since 2007 that claimed that Hirohiko Araki designed the Ashtanga from Gurren Lagann. I doubt it's true, but if it were that would be pretty cool. 🤔

And to celebrate, as a thank you for getting 50 followers, I'll be trying on a new headband.
I think it looks nice, as it shares many similarities to Hammer Kirby's headband, which I think is really cool.

I wanted to keep his origins vague in the design, so i decided all the clothes should be very neutral in tone with some implications. I also wanted to play on the Low poly IRL clothes idea that i saw online since i thought it looked cool. i eventually decided to drop it.
Besides Sugimori's stuff (obviously 😛) I was referencing some of these illustrations for Pokemon Card GB2 for how I approach the colour treatment here. (design aside: the leg strap deck holster is super cool. may try incorporating something like it in other designs)
