Pastel Paleotober Day 12: Dimetrodon 🍋🍏
Dimetrodon was an early Permian carnivore, living mainly in the southern United States but with some species spread as far as Canada and Germany. The sail on its back was likely used in displays, much like the antlers of modern deer.
Ya'll I hope the Dimetrodon makes it in JWD! It's one of the most known Synapsids comparing to Lystrosaurus! I wonder if there will be a fight between Lystrosaurus and Dimetrodon, how amazing would that be? I really do hope it isn't as rushed as the last one did.
Alphabet of the week.
I promise to upload more content, I will put stickers on sale very soon!

@Primal_Creation Yutyrannus, Amargasaurus, Dimetrodon and Spinosaurus are among some of my favorites. All extremely interesting animals, with such unique designs to them and in how they lived

The components of this match the species of those of the Triceramax Megazord from Power Rangers Dino Thunder; a Styracosaurus core and Ankylosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Parasaurolophus and Dimetrodon limbs.
Since synapsid won out over all other options, the last launch promo for my upcoming Patreon is Dimetro-done!
More info coming September 1st!

Apologies for not posting to Patreon lately, I will have more soon! But for now, today I have added access to my Dimetrodon for the $20 "Styracosaurus" tier! Feel free to download the high quality model and rig and use as you please! https://t.co/NKGhbmGPGA
Ok… so apparently #SynapsidWeek is a real thing?! 🤷♂️ Well, here’s an intentionally overly-reptilian dimetrodon(ish) cryptid from my recent Kickstarter.
I once made this picture of Dimetrodon.
Seems like #SynapsidWeek is a good opportunity to repost it.
Hope it's still #SynapsidWeek because today happens to be my birthday!!!! (you may have to turn up your screen's brightness to see that Dimetrodon face)
Late on #SynapsidWeek but eh.
Dimetrodon was through the Early Permian one of the most successful genus of synapsid pelycosaurs lasting almost 20 m.y., upon this there has always been a different species in each point being in most cases the apex predator until the end.
Dimetrodon
Spinetrodon
Amphibianetrodon
crocmetrodon
I love how this isn't even all of them...
Dimetrodon Appreciation post since many have anticipated this Permian Stem-Mammal to show up in the next installment of Colin Trevorrow´s Jurassic World.
