I haven't done a military history thread for a while.

Yesterday I learned that only 3% of bird species have penises (thanks )

Ducks, geese, swans, and large flightless birds like ostriches & emus have penises, while species such as owls, eagles and flamingos have completely lost their penises over time!

Daydreamed about visiting the zoo earlier today for some reason, and there were some pictures of emus. Creepy looking guys, scheming... Really liking the canvasy texture I put in, looks a bit like a real painting :o

have small, useless however, their are long and powerful. Emus are the only that have any calf muscles. Emus need a lot of water. They’re known for drinking 9 to 18 litres daily.

Just some Emus from last year, may well be showing a new emu that hopefully will be finished tomorrow this one in Acrylics on a stretch canvas. I kind of love the quirky emu :-)

Would you ever want to raise Emus? They would be cool, but they can be aggressive!
