i've tried drawing his actual texture only a couple times bc suffice to say drawing tons of tiny things is a pain in the ass but they're not like tangible literal bugs as much as flecks of shade shaped like insects that only become tangible when grouped together

To me speak volumes through their eye movements. Bringing in this light and dark patterned Jade in the subject. This was the combination I was looking for to accent the eye balls. Flecks of 18KT gold leaf further bring out the wild character traits in this remarkable bird.

My cat, Eevee, as a Pokémon!
She's an Umbreon because she's a black cat! The yellow parts are white for her tiny patches and flecks of white fur littering her pelt. They're both missing the same eartip, same eye color, and same collar! (That IRL version doesn't want to wear 😂)
